Michael Maguire has made a surprise appearance at a New South Wales team dinner, speaking to the Blues squad he formerly coached in the lead-up to the State of Origin series decider.
The visit, which was arranged by current NSW coach Michael Daley, sees Maguire return to address the side ahead of what shapes as one of the most high-stakes matches of the season.
Maguire's presence at the team gathering is understood to be aimed at providing motivation and insight to the Blues as they prepare for the deciding game of the series.
